THIS MONTH'S QUESTION:
Would you rather go to a bar and listen to 2nd generation disco disc's spun by a DJ or watch a 100% original band perform a mini concert in a club?

Sandra
professional house cleaner
A DJ 'cuz the music I like is the music I hear on the radio. I'd rather dance to that than Rock and roll.

Trevor Brown
National Guardsman
An original band definitely.  Because original music is more unpredictable, it makes it more exciting.  Some stuff might stink, while other stuff is good.  Still, it's original and its more appealing.

Trisha Beck
bartender
Definitely a band.  Probably because the music they play would be top 40  garbage on discs and all of my friends play in bands.

Roy Faulkner
metal worker
Original bands performing.  Because they're original and with a DJ your listening to a pre-mix.

Sandra Brochu
waitress/ Senator Inn
Original band definitely over disco.  I just like performances because its part of the song.  It gives it more meaning then.  When they put their heart into it and bring the song to life, its much better than a recording.

Jeff Lord
manager/Puffin Stop
I would much rather see bands get out and open the eyes with talent.  We need clubs to promote these bands, but in order for that to happen bands have got to stop doing covers and start their own original stuff.

Juliette Niederer
marketing distributor
You have to be a really good DJ.  I like regular music performed by people who write music.

Rene Roy
college student
I'd rather watch a band, because its more exciting and you can get into it if they're there.  It makes it more fun.

Mike Ryan
musician
My own high school offered $75 between two bands to split.  That's less than $1 per hour.  We found out that a DJ got to do it and got paid $200.  That's stupid.  I'm going to tell them their wasting tax payers money.  I'd rather see real people over discs.  Real people can give back the energy and the crowd gives it back and they become one. You can't do that with discs.  It's the difference between making love and ma**********.  (The last word has be censored by music trade magazine .com for it's PG-13 content.)
